I believe in uninterrupted passion. In healthcare I see people dedicate themselves to the welfare of others daily, and it is my ambition to see that passion for caring uninterrupted by violence and criminality.
I like to say I am accidentally interested in healthcare security. After my time in the U.S. Army, I took a job as a night shift hospital security guard while I finished my education. I immediately was drawn to the need for enhanced training and professionalism for the healthcare security officer. Additionally, seeing the scope and impact of the workplace violence epidemic in healthcare first hand I developed a passion for trying to prevent violence. This has led to a overall passion for healthcare security.
In addition to my professional pursuits, I am also the father of three beautiful children, husband to an incredibly supportive wife, and I enjoy woodworking, studying history, and writing.
